general  rules  for  cencal  standoff  2017


  • All games will be played on the default settings, unless otherwise specified, below.
  • All macros available via the in-game controller configuration menu are allowed.
  • Hardware programmable input entry, rapid-fire, or other hardware assisted mechanisms are strictly forbidden.
  • Accidentally pausing the game at any time during the fight will force you to forfeit the round.
  • Any player using “Random Select” to pick their character, must “Random Select” again if they win the match, provided that there is no way to pick a certain character in the random box.
  • You must provide your own controller for games played on all systems.
  • Brook Converters are allowed.
  • Cronus Max Plus and Titan One converters are banned.
  • All wireless controllers other than the DualShock4 and WiiU Pro Controller are banned.
  • DualShock4 players that don’t unpair their controller right after the match, are subject to disqualification.​
  • Nintendo 3DS, 2DS, or WiiU gamepad are not allowed.
  • Removing the battery or otherwise disabling these controllers is NOT OK.  You may not use these controllers under any circumstances.
  • 3rd party controllers which pair to a dongle like the MadCatz controllers are fine.
  • There is no coaching during any tournament match beyond pools.
  • There is a maximum of 60 seconds allowed between games in a set.

  • Game version: US PlayStation 4
  • Game Settings: Versus Mode, 99 Seconds, 2/3 Rounds, 2/3 Games, No Handicap
  • The top 8 competitors will play 3/5 Matches.
  • Legacy Controller Mode is banned
  • Training Stage and the Beach stage are not tournament legal
  • Rashid stage is banned from game play
  • Kolin is banned from game play
PAYOUT: 70%, 20%, 10%

SUPER  SMASH  BROS  MELEE

  • Items off, 8 Minutes, 4 Stocks
  • No excessive stalling (Rising Pound, Luigi ladder, etc.)
  • Wobbling is legal, stalling past 300% is illegal
  • Double Blind and Neutral Start is offered at request
  • You cannot counter pick to any stage you have already won on
  • Gentleman's Clause: Any stage may be played on if both players agree to it
  • If a match times out, the winner is determined by remaining stocks, then lowest percentage on the same stock
  • Pausing Results in a stock loss, at the discretion of the opponent
  • Winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but has to pick before loser selects character
  • Starters/Neutral Stages: Yoshi's Story, Fountain of Dreams, Battlefield, Final Destination, Dream Land
    • Counterpick Stages: Pokemon Stadium
  • The first stage is decided by banning from the Starter Stages in P1-P2-P2-P1 order
  • Following stages decided by winner banning 1 stage and then loser choosing
  • 3/5 Sets will have no bans
PAYOUT: 60%, 25%, 15%

  • Game version: US Nintendo WiiU
  • Game Settings: 2 Stock, 6 Minute Time Limit, Custom Moves Off, Items Off, Equipment Off, Handicap Off, Pause Off, Damage Ratio 100%, 2/3 Games
  • Mii Fighters On (1-1-1-1 Default Miis)
  • Amiibo’s are banned.
  • Starter Stages: Battlefield (Miiverse), Final Destination, Lylat Cruise, Smashville, Town & City
  • Counterpick Stages: Dream Land 64, Duck Hunt
  • All Omega stages are banned.
  • First stage is decided by (Rock Paper Scissors) best of 1. Winner strikes, then loser strikes twice, then winner. (1-2-2-1)
  • Following stages decided by winner banning one stage from all stages and then loser choosing.
  • Winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but has to pick before loser selects character.
  • You may not choose a stage you have already won on unless mutually agreed to.
  • You may not play on a stage that is not on the available stages list. This will result in a double disqualification.
  • Maximum allowed time between games is 60 seconds. Any player violating this rule will be issued a loss.
  • Sudden Death with a tied percentage/stock count will NOT determine the outcome of a tied game. A playoff match with 1 stock/2 minutes will determine the winner.
  • There will be no loading anything on to the tournament consoles.

  • Game version: PS4
  • Game Settings: 99 Seconds, 3/5 Games, Default Handicap, Default Damage
  • You may not use any glitch that prevents the game from being played. This includes game freezing, game resetting, player freezing, dead body infinites, etc.
  • Winner must keep exact same team (including assists), but may switch order of assists via loading screen.
  • Galactus is banned in tournament play.
  • No multiple characters are allowed on the same team.
PAYOUT: 70%, 20%, 10%
